The Definitive Ranking of The Top Bee Pollen Supplements In The World

A comprehensive ranking of the top bee pollen supplement products on the market today.

Bee pollen supplement products used to be a well-kept secret to Olympic athletes and other fitness enthusiasts but no more. There are many bee pollen supplement products in the world today. To that end, I decided to research and analyze just what are the best bee pollen supplements in the world. Thus, this table was born. I evaluated all these products one by one. How do you know what’s a quality product and what is not?

Basically, the scale is 0 to 100. So, 85 out of a 100 and above is taa really good quality product. (It’s represented as 85/100 for example, or 85 out of a possible 100. For true quality, those products that are 85 and above and are cGMP compliant, indicate a real top quality bee bread product. This grid may bear some explanation as well.

gmp-logoFor your convenience, the default is set at showing the rank and potency. You can, though, change the sort options and analyze this grid anyway you like. Simply click on the column header and you can sort the info in ascending or descending order.

For example, if you want to see all the cGMP-compliant companies, click on the “cGMP Compliant” column header and the table will re-orient itself. If you want to see the companies in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order, click on the company column header. Lastly, for your convenience, if you want to learn more about the various products shown, simply click on the hyperlink (the underlined text in blue) and you will be re-directed to that page.

What is So Important About “cGMP Compliance” When It Comes to Bee Pollen Supplement Products?

GMP (or cGMP) compliance is a prime indicator of quality. The standards, raw product cleanliness, manufacturing processes and standards and certification of each batch of product produced is what is required to be cGMP compliant. As you can see from the above grid or table, most supplement companies don’t ascribe to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration cGMP code for Dietary Supplements.

As of June 28, 2010, any companies wishing to sell products in US markets, must be GMP compliant. Nevertheless, as of late 2011, 70% are still not compliant (Matthews, An Insider’s View of The Supplement Manufacturing Process, para 13).

You can read more about it here, but essentially it means:

  1. The product has the ingredients listed on the label in the stated amounts. This is not common, actually. Supplement fraud is commonplace and the vast majority of supplement companies don’t adhere to this basic standard.
  2. Product is devoid of harmful, specified contaminants.
  3. The product will “break down and release into the body within a specified amount of time.” This is where most nutritional supplements fail. Most are released in the stomach and not the duodenum
  4. Most importantly, the product has been manufactured according to rigid FDA cGMP standards using well-controlled procedures.

To quote directly from the USP website, they say, “The USP Dietary Supplement Verification Program is a voluntary testing and auditing program that helps dietary supplement manufacturers USP Verifiedensure the production of quality products for consumers” (para. 1).

(USP is not the only certifying or auditing agency — there are six others but this info is representative, I believe.) From these criteria, a potency score was tabulated. As you can see, product assimilability and the manufacturing facilities bear the most weight.

Why?

If a supplement product is produced in a cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), it means rigorous standards have been met. That said, while a product may be produced in cGMP compliant facilities with exacting standards, that doesn’t necessarily mean it will automatically be a great product.

At the end of the day, the bee bread supplement product doing what it purports to do is the final distinguishing arbiter. That is why customer testimonials and customer experience are so important.

bee pollen supplementsIf a product is working, people will buy it again and again. They will also “talk” about it, which online means social interactions with Facebook, Twitter, etc. (Admittedly it takes a lot for someone to be so excited about a supplement product to go on social media outlets and sing somethings praises. Still, it does happen.)

A company may persuade you to buy once, but it their quality control and resolve to produce truly quality nutritional supplements, the customer will notice and see the benefits. Such customers reward you with, as mentioned, repeat business.

I hope that adequately amplifies things a bit.

Other Vital Factors of The Bee Pollen Supplement Analysis Study

Other factors that coalesce into the judging criteria include some notable factors. For a complete overview of these factors, visit the page within this website entitled, How to Choose The best Multivitamin.

There, the factors I go over in some depth are as follows:

  • Product Development and Nutrient Reactions
  • Scientific Formulation
  • Manufacturing Procedures
  • Facilities
  • Product Quality & Freshness
  • Value for Money
  • Customer Testimonials (we’ve talked about this)
  • Money-Back Guarantee

All of these factors were, as mentioned, were tangential components of the reviews. They are absolutely vital.

A product that is truly quality covers the full gambit of research, product creation in cGMP-compliant facilities with quality and is well received by customers who freely testify of the products efficacy. That is what you should be looking for.

What About Cost of The Bee Pollen Supplement Study?

To have all of these products tested in a laboratory would have cost literally around $100,000 per product. To have just one of the supplements tested by ConsumerLab would have cost over $750,000 (Matthews, Why don’t we have Consumer Lab test our products?, para. 13)! Needless to say, I didn’t spend that, but I did test and research and analyze thoroughly the different products on the market.

I hope this information has been helpful to you. If it was, please click the Facebook “like” button above or share it in some other way. You can also see other articles here, if interested.
